Pest control giant Orkin recently released a study showing the Top 50 Rattiest Cities in America. Philadelphia ranked a respectable seventh overall, with Chicago taking the top spot for another year in a row.
Here’s how Philadelphia stacks up against the rest of the Top 50:
I think seven is a good spot for The City of Brotherly Love. I’ve been to every city above us on the list except Chicago, and can confirm they are chock full of rattus rattus.
Honestly, though, I figured D.C. would slot into the two seed on these power rankings. I’ve spent some considerable time down there visiting friends/lobbying congress to bring back Dollar Dog Night, and I genuinely saw more rats there than I have during my visits to NYC.
Unfortunately for Orkin, though, I think this ranking only includes actual rodents. When it comes to people exhibiting that type of behavior, however, Philly sports media along would bump us up a spot or two.
I mean, just look at all these rats.
